"Viduthalai" is a Tamil newspaper founded by the social reformer Thanthai Periyar, in 1935. Aimed at promoting rationalism, social justice, and gender equality, it played a crucial role in advocating for the rights of marginalized communities in Tamil Nadu. The newspaper remains significant in the legacy of Periyar’s movement for a more equitable society. Under the able leadership of K. Veeramani, the current editor of "Viduthalai," the newspaper continues to uphold the values of Periyar's vision for social justice and equality. Veeramani, a prominent activist and advocate for rationalism, has revitalized the publication, ensuring it addresses contemporary issues while staying true to its foundational principles.
